• Aptitude for mathematics to quickly analyze, compare, and interpret information including unspecified info, then make concise and accurate judgments based on knowledge and experience to establish project timelines and budgets
• Estimate and prepare competitive bids using familiarity with lump-sum, time and material; also, to solicit subcontractor bids, distribution of plans to qualified bidders, follow-up, and review of bids. Depending on project's level of complexity may work independently or in a team environment

Qualifications/Requirements

• 5+ years using industry-specific construction software for project management, and scheduling, as well as paperless document storage software. • Experience directing project scheduling, utilizing superior organization and time management skills; ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines consistently.
• Capable of driving short and long distances to visit project sites, capable of walking project sites including demands of ladders, uneven terrain, and challenging weather conditions, may travel to out-of-town project sites.

We are seeking an experienced commercial general construction Senior Estimator who can actively engage with clients and excels in attention to detail and precision. The role involves bidding, planning, organizing, scheduling work, and evaluating cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate should be goal-oriented, adaptable, and a team player. The selected team member will be responsible for nurturing both existing and new client relationships while also efficiently and accurately conducting detailed takeoff work. In addition, the Senior Estimator will be expected to respond to project advertisements for bidding or negotiation in line with company goals. This role will collaborate with Project Managers to ensure a seamless transition on awarded projects and during subcontract negotiations.


Job Responsibilities

• Analyze, compare, and interpret information including unspecified information to make concise and accurate judgements based on knowledge and experience to establish project timelines and budgets
• Lead a team of estimators to estimate and prepare competitive bids, including soliciting subcontractor bids, distributing plans, and reviewing bids, with the ability to work independently or in a team depending on project complexity
• Review contract documents / drawings , specifications, and proposals to estimate time, costs, and labor for new and renovation commercial construction projects or construction management services, utilizing specialized methodologies and techniques
• Upon completion of the quantity surveys, the Estimator compiles a comprehensive project cost summary, encompassing labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, taxes, insurance, markup, and any other pertinent expenses influencing the project, in order to prepare bid proposals for the client and key stakeholders. Additionally, overhead and profit factors are factored in to determine the total bid price
• Demonstrate exceptional client and subcontractor relationship management throughout multiple, simultaneous short- and long-term projects while coordinating with others to execute work procedures.
• Prepares project budgets and assigns cost codes to subcontract and purchase orders
• Negotiates with subcontractors and suppliers and arranges subcontractor and purchase order agreements
• Ensure consistent and close communication with vendors and subcontractors during the bidding process, addressing any scope-related inquiries
• Communicate professionally and clearly both internally and externally with clients, our departments, and external companies, such as suppliers, subcontractors, and other business partners, to collaborate effectively and achieve project objectives from various sources

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred for commercial construction projects
• Minimum of 5 years prior experience in an Estimating position bidding projects ranging in value between $500k up to $50 million with varying complexity within the commercial construction industry, preferably a General Contractor within the state of Florida. Strong knowledge of Divisions 1 through 33, and quantity takeoff experience in all Divisions excluding MEP’s
• Conceptual estimating is preferred; ability to visualize and rely on experience to fill in gaps from schematic or conceptual drawings to construct a complete project
• The ideal candidate should possess advanced skills in Bluebeam Revu, with a strong emphasis on design, markup, quantity, and cost estimate bid takeoff tools. Proficiency (5+ years) in utilizing Sage Timberline estimating software or HCSS is highly preferred, along with advanced proficiency in Pantera bid management or Building Connected software
• Experience in collaborating with a variety of individuals and leading presentations with clients and architects to communicate project scope and cost estimates during the initial project phases is essential for this role

We are seeking a Traveling Construction Superintendent who will be responsible for performing a wide range of construction tasks with strict adherence to building standards, working closely with our Project Managers. This role demands attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to ensure that worksite requirements are met, and project specifications are followed. The ideal candidate is a flexible, detail-oriented team player who will be called upon weekly to manage existing client projects. This includes coordinating subcontractor work scopes, scheduling, and logistics to meet project objectives.

Job Responsibilities
• Coordinate the interpretation of the specifications, resolve problems, and coordinate phases of construction to prevent delays
• Direct subcontractors and provide leadership in the day-to-day planning and executing of quality work.
