We are seeking an experienced Carpenter, who will be performing construction-related activities, which may include operating a variety of hand and power tools. The ideal candidate will be dependable, trustworthy, results driven, hard-working and be able to demonstrate extraordinary attention to safety, the discipline to work independently, as well as work collaboratively with the R. C. Stevens Team Members and Customers.��

Job Responsibilities

Constructs, erects, installs, repairs, finishes walls, drywall and building framework using hand and power tools, while conforming to local building codes.
Interprets blueprints, sketches, or building plans in preparation of layout to determine dimensions and type of material required.
Capable of demolition and installation of ceilings, painting, carpeting, tile, and other miscellaneous finishes independently or as part of a team.
Smooths and finishes surfaces of poured concrete using a variety of hand and power tools including floats, trowels, and screeds.
Ability to work non-standard hours on occasion.
Embrace a “Whatever it Takes” attitude.
Other duties, as may be required.

Qualifications/Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in industrial or commercial facilities work.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
Knowledge in the safe and appropriate use of hand tools and power tools for demolition and carpentry.
Proficient alone in reading and understanding blueprints.
Knowledgeable in the assembly/disassembly of concrete forms and the use of concrete pumps, installation of rebar, and placement of concrete is a plus.
Prior Rigging knowledge is a plus.
Experience with leveling tools such as laser levels and transits.
Must have the appropriate tools of the trade.
Travel as needed between different project sites.

Job Responsibilities

Lead project teams to achieve bottom-line results and growth.
Present and communicate with key stakeholders to cultivate new and existing client relationships.
Ensure building standards are met particularly with specialized healthcare certifications.
Study specifications to plan procedures for construction on the basis of starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction.
Serve as a Safety Officer cooperating with our Safety Director to maintain a safe work environment.
Prepare and communicate field reports on progress, materials used, and costs, and adjust work schedules as needed after evaluation of project reports.
Resolve complaints and grievances which may arise with professionalism in a clear and concise manner.
Work requires frequent interaction with subcontractors to communicate our standards and assist with project compliance in both an office and field environment.

Qualifications/Requirements

Minimum of 7 years’ experience in commercial construction management, jobsite management, and project logistics including management of all construction trades. Recent (past 5 yrs.), relevant commercial healthcare construction experience within the state of Florida.
At least 5 years in a previous position as a Project Manager utilizing superior organization and time management skills; ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines consistently. Solid organizational skills.
Bachelor’s degree required. Higher education in construction management, business management, other construction-based educational programs for commercial construction projects, or relevant discipline is preferred.
Professional designations desirable (AHCA, LEED, ASHE).
Advanced knowledge of scheduling (P6, Microsoft Project) software is a benefit.
Advanced proficiency (5+ yrs.) in Procore Project Management (or similar) software a plus. Proficiency in Sage Estimating, Textura Payment Management software, DocuSign, and MS Outlook, Word, Excel software with efficiency and accuracy expected. Adaptable to new computer software and technology.
Position requires full-time hours Monday-Friday with additional hours required as needed.
Capable of walking project sites including demands of ladders, uneven terrain, and challenging weather conditions.
The role requires the ability to travel, including taking commercial flights, for development opportunities, and visits to construction jobsites.

We are seeking a Safety Specialist in Tampa, Florida who will be providing services related to safety, health, work methods and training. This will include extensive field visits with team members, identifying areas requiring training, and conducting on-the-job training if/when needed. Job Responsibilities

Actively observe and provide feedback around the crew's work to eliminate at-risk behavior, identify safety issues and help ensure corrective actions are taken
Perform injury management including minor first aid, incident root cause investigation and reporting, return to work as needed
Conduct daily inspections of job sites actively observing and providing feedback around the crew's work, tools, and equipment to eliminate hazards and identify at-risk behavior; advise on and help ensure corrective actions are taken
Take an active role in the planning of upcoming work on the site to help the team identify potential safety issues and solutions

We are seeking an experienced, industrial and/or commercial Senior Project Engineer that can work with the project team to provide technical support around quality and cost controls, blueprint and contract compliance, scheduling, estimating, budgeting, documentation, and engineering means and methods on site. They must also ensure the project is constructed in a safe, ethical manner and compliant with all federal, state, and local laws.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide technical support around quality control, blueprint and contract compliance, scheduling, documentation, and engineering means and methods on-site
Assist in proper project planning, value-added engineering means and methods, developing work packages and preparing production indicators/benchmarks, and developing the master schedule
Coordinate construction activities on a project, including the estimate, start-up, costing, scheduling, demobilization, etc.
Provide ongoing client contact to assess the progression of work and resources required to successfully complete project
Interpret design/drawings for team members installing material
Research and resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors
Verify that all completed work complies with applicable codes, and drawings and specifications
Maintain the project schedule and budget to aid project leadership in knowing where they are and making decisions for how to achieve project goals, with input from others

We are seeking a Construction Superintendent who will be responsible for performing a wide range of construction tasks with strict adherence to building standards, working closely with our Project Managers. This role demands attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to ensure that worksite requirements are met, and project specifications are followed. The ideal candidate is a flexible, detail-oriented team player who will be called upon weekly to manage existing client projects. This includes coordinating subcontractor work scopes, scheduling, and logistics to meet project objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Coordinate the interpretation of the specifications, resolve problems, and coordinate phases of construction to prevent delays.
Direct subcontractors and provide leadership in the day-to-day planning and executing of quality work. Plan sequence of activities per proposed schedule and manpower requirements for each phase of construction based on building method, knowledge of available tools and equipment, and personnel resources.
Confer with supervisory personnel and labor representatives, engineering personnel, inspectors, to resolve complaints and grievances and/or construction problems which may arise.
Notify subcontractors and suppliers of nonconformance work within 48 hours and follow through with the notifications.
Lead and present at contractor meetings with key stakeholders to communicate project scheduling, coordination, and safety. Additionally participate in or lead Owner/Architect meetings.
Ensure that building standards are met, and construction schedules are adhered to. Responsible for thoroughly studying contract documents to become highly familiar with the requirements and proactively planning to anticipate and address potential issues before they arise.
Log daily progress and photo documentation timely into project-specific database.
Serve as a Safety Officer cooperating with our Safety Director to maintain a safe work environment.
Travel to job sites as needed.
